Description
These Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cups are a dreamy, no-bake dessert layered with toasted kataifi, creamy pistachio spread, glossy melted chocolate, and juicy strawberries. Inspired by Middle Eastern flavors, this elegant treat is rich, crunchy, fruity, and surprisingly easy to make in under 20 minutes. Perfect for parties, date nights, or a viral-worthy dessert moment.
Ingredients
1 tbsp butter
1 cup kataifi (shredded phyllo dough), toasted
3/4 cup pistachio cream or pistachio butter
1/2 cup crushed pistachios
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 cups strawberries, halved or quartered
Instructions
1. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add kataifi and toast, stirring frequently, until golden and crisp (about 5–7 minutes).
2. Remove from heat and stir in pistachio cream until evenly coated. Add crushed pistachios and mix well. Set aside to cool slightly.
3. In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips (microwave or double boiler). Stir in the coconut oil for a smooth, glossy finish.
4. In a small glass or jar, start layering:
– 1/4 cup strawberries
– 2 tbsp melted chocolate
– 4 tbsp kataifi-pistachio mixture
5. Repeat the layers once more, finishing with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios on top.
6. Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Enjoy!
Notes
No kataifi? Use toasted vermicelli noodles or crushed gluten-free crackers as a substitute.
Can’t find pistachio cream? Try almond butter or chocolate hazelnut spread.
For a vegan version, use dairy-free chocolate and plant-based butter.
