This homemade blue salt recipe is inspired by a viral wellness trend used for hydration, energy, and even spiritual rituals. Made with natural salt, citrus, and optional blue coloring, it’s simple, quick, and perfect for daily use as a wellness tonic or energy reset spray.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon natural sea salt or Himalayan pink salt
5 teaspoons warm filtered water
2–3 drops fresh lemon or lime juice
A pinch of blue spirulina or butterfly pea flower powder *(optional)*
1 drop peppermint essential oil or a crushed mint leaf *(optional)*
Instructions
1. Warm the filtered water until it’s just warm to the touch — not hot.
2. Stir in the salt until fully dissolved.
3. Add the citrus juice and mix gently.
4. If desired, add a pinch of blue spirulina or butterfly pea powder for a natural blue color.
5. For extra freshness, drop in the mint or essential oil.
6. Use as a morning sip (1–2 tablespoons), in a ritual spray bottle, or add to a warm bath.
