Banana Date Smoothie

  • Author: judi
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

This banana date smoothie is a creamy, naturally sweet drink that makes for a healthy breakfast or post-workout refuel. With just a few wholesome ingredients—like ripe bananas, Medjool dates, and almond milk—it’s packed with nutrients and flavor. It’s also vegan-friendly, dairy-free, and easy to customize.

Ingredients

Scale

1 frozen ripe banana

1 fresh ripe banana

45 pitted Medjool dates

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or oat, coconut, or soy milk)
Optional Add-ins:

1 tablespoon almond butter

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Add the almond milk to your blender.

  2. Toss in the frozen banana, fresh banana, and pitted dates.

  3. Include any optional add-ins like almond butter or cinnamon.

  4. Blend on high for 30–60 seconds until smooth and creamy.

  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately!

Notes

For a thicker smoothie, reduce the milk slightly or add ice cubes.

Freeze overripe bananas in advance for optimal texture.

Soak dates in hot water for 10–15 minutes if they’re too firm to blend smoothly.

Store leftover smoothie in the fridge for up to 24 hours in an airtight container.
